National Hui 2013

15 - 17 October 2013, James Cook Grand Chancellor Hotel, Wellington.

The CAYAD National hui is an annual event that empowers our workforce, profiles the work of CAYAD and increases the opportunity for whanaungatanga across CAYAD, with regional and national stakeholders and MPs. This year's hui was hosted by the National CAYAD Advisory Group in Wellington.

The 2013 hui encompassed an energetic, well informed and engaging experience. Several areas of work that CAYAD coordinators are undertaking were addressed, including local alcohol policies, the review of national drug policy, new psychoactive substances and social media campaigns. Many thanks to our very own coordinators and external presenters.

Whanaungatanga and time for discussion between attendees was a very highly valued part of the hui.

Acknowledgements to the hosts from the National CAYAD Advisory Group and the National Coordination Team for their coordination, inspiring work and leadership; the CAYAD coordinators and managers of the 25 sites  for your presence, participation and energy; and to the stakeholders and MPs we look forward to keeping our connections and relationships strong.

Ma tini, ma mano ka rapa te whai - Many hands make light work, unity is strength.
