What is it? The 2015 survey is a continuation of the Hutt Valley Youth Surveys from 2006 – 2010.  It was completed by 4444 young people (aged 10-18+). Questions ranged from the biggest issues for young people, to improvements needed, feelings about school, leaving school, places to hang out, experiences of negative behaviour, as well as health, wellbeing, and safety.

Results:  The survey results have been presented to schools, at Council meetings and at community meetings. Upper Hutt City Council, Lower Hutt City Council and various youth service providers have indicated that the survey has been useful in shaping and informing future work.

CAYAD Hutt Valley continues to use the survey report to help inform action planning and also uses the report as a relationship engagement tool and something to bring to meetings with new stakeholders.
