“Hori on a Hīkoi – Ngā Porokāte | Episode 1: "Why? Tangi Be Happy" – Eru Kapa-Kingi

In our inaugural episode, we speak with Eru "Te Kapa-Kingi o te Norta," who hails from Te Tai Tokerau, the birthplace of both He Whakaputanga and Te Tiriti. Raised by parents passionately engaged in reclamation efforts, Eru was instilled with a political consciousness and a critical perspective on Māori existence as tangata whenua. As a legal academic, he teaches about He Whakaputanga, Te Tiriti, and tangata whenua rights, focusing on the intersection of Māori and Pākehā jurisprudence. Eru is currently pursuing doctoral studies to deeply examine the constitutional relationship in Aotearoa”, (RNZyoutube, n.d.).
